What the individual doesn’t see or look for is the substance behind the MLM company. What is their history? What track record do they have? How long have they been in business? What is their cash flow? All these items are vital to the success of any company and in this case the success of your MLM business.
Regardless of what people say the company behind the network marketing opportunity is important to your overall success. The corporate side of the MLM business is vital to ensure proper decisions are made. Decisions that allow the opportunity to grow, to launch new high demand products, to grow into new markets, and to all of this will ensuring the distributors in the field are being paid promptly and accurately.
Again while this sounds very simple, it is astonishing how many people will join a business opportunity without even researching the company. Step #1 to your success in MLM is the company behind the MLM opportunity.
Second Item for Success in Network Marketing
The second item that will play a factor in your success in network marketing is the compensation plan employed by the opportunity. While some may say that the products are more important than the compensation plan, it is the compensation plan that pays the income, not the products.
From the perspective of the company moving products which then, in turn, generate a profit is the end goal; if the compensation plan is not properly structured it can actually bring the entire network marketing opportunity down. Thus the reason it is more important than the product(s) or service(s) being offered.
Every MLM opportunity will have high-quality products, but what some companies will do to entice new distributors is to add bonuses and incentives to join. While this may seem very generous, you must look past these initial incentives. The first question that has to be asked is the compensation plan sustainable? All the revenue generated by the sale of products cannot be paid back to the distributors, the economics don’t work.
Secondly, what must a distributor have to do to qualify for income? Again you would think this is a question everyone asks, but those flashy videos and sexy models distract people from the facts and work solely on their emotions. Do not be afraid to ask questions. If you receive resistance from your questions take it as a sign for you to turn around and walk away!

There should be nothing to hide in how distributors get paid. Everything from the pay structure to the monthly fees (if required) should be laid out in plain view for you to see. This last and final item will be the most important piece of the puzzle to your success in MLM. This final item is the leadership within the business opportunity that you are going to join. The leadership within the organization will make the entire company better, it will make the compensation plan pay better and will certainly allow you to unlock and live your success quicker.
The Network Marketing industry is a people business and this means the leadership leading the MLM opportunity you are in or about to join will speak volumes for the opportunity, before any presentation, before any flashy video. It’s the leadership within an MLM organization that will understand what it takes to build a global business, what the distributors need to further their success and what trends the company needs to be a leader in.
The other aspect of the leadership you have to understand is most people when they start will not know the proper tasks to follow to build a successful business. Having great leadership allows these individuals to learn as they build their business. If you are one of these individuals who requires learning new skills you will be grateful for their knowledge. If you are a leader who has a large group of individuals who requires training you will be even more grateful as you will be able to leverage their leadership skills and training to build a stronger larger group.
Be Successful in Network Marketing
Do not underestimate the simplicity of what has been outlined here; it can be difficult to find the right balance of the three. That is the secret final step to these three items and how they play a major factor in your to in MLM; it’s the proper balance of the three.
While the leadership that is present in the MLM opportunity is the most powerful and important, they cannot make up for deficiencies in the other two. The network marketing company and the compensation plan must be sound. Understand this, seek it out, and ask as many questions as required to get the answers you need to make an educated decision.
